About Me
I'm Mandi Morehouse. I earned my Library degree from the Western University. I have been researching my own family tree since my grandmother weaved wonderful tales of heroism and bravery of my ancestors. Whether it's the librarian in me or my innate nature I'm not sure, but I had to dive into these tales to see if they were really true. Some were. Some weren't. Some I'm still working on.
Along the way I have uncovered many interesting details about my ancestors. More importantly, I have come to appreciate their struggles and their sacrifices, all to give their children the best life possible. My passion comes from not wanting to let their memories pass into history. Linking two individuals to the same family or finding a specific name in the archives, whether online or in a dusty vault somewhere, is an exciting day.
I know there are others out there who feel the same way that I do. Armed with my trusty library degree, knowledge from workshops and conferences, and the skills that I've learned over the years I am eager to help folks uncover their own family stories.
